Exhibition Graphic Design
The National Archives in New York City moved to a new space at the Alexander Hamilton U.S. Custom House in lower Manhattan. They had the opportunity to do an inaugural exhibit in the majestic lobby Rotunda.
Roger Westerman designed this exhibition, called The World’s Port which explored aspects of the Port of New York using documents and photographs from the National Archives. Included were deck plans for the Titanic and a deed of gift for the Statue of Liberty. I drew from motifs and typefaces in the documents to develop a cohesive graphic system and color palette, and executed the graphic production of a complex display of photographs.
This exhibit helped draw attention to the great resources available in the National Archive, located on the third floor of the building.
